   For seventeen years, I've been battling a dual diagnosis (bi-polar and drug addiction).  I've been in and out of mental hospitals, jail, and institutions due to over-medicating, self-medication, poor decision making, and denial.  I had to lose everything before I was willing to admit I needed God more than pills, professional advice, therapy, etc.  I've only just begun this new approach, but I've not had any medications for three months now, and I'm as stable as ever.
